Reforestation in Slovakia

The High Tatras mountains stretch along the northern border of Slovakia and are treasured as a national symbol of the country.

Devastation occurred in 2004 when strong winds destroyed 12,000 hectares of the mountains’ forest, changing climate conditions for its plants and animal species.

In 2015, Brother Industries Slovakia and its employees partnered with local environmental charity Zasad Strom’s “Make a Home” project to plant a million new trees in the devastated area. The project has also become one of our Brother Earth “Click for the Earth” donation options.
