New mono laser printers born to a life with cloud and mobile

The seven models in the new Brother 5000 series offer speed, security and great flexibility at very attractive prices. Web Connect is one of the many feature in new monochrome Brother printer. The target group is small and medium-sized companies in particular.

Brother’s market research and customer inquiries to dealers show that many companies in both the private and public sectors still need monochrome printers.

Although the world is becoming more and more colourful – both on screen and in print –
every day millions of paper sheets are printed in black and white. Written documents, reports, drafts, etc. often work better in monochrome, and at the same time, it is less expensive to print in black and white.

Brother’s new 5000 series of monochrome laser printers fills this market. The seven different models – five printers and two all-in-ones – are primarily aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. In large organisations, the printers are typically used for groups and departments.

The printers in the 5000 series deliver fast monochrome prints – up to 40 pages per minute – and at the same time, they offer the market’s most advanced features for the Internet, cloud services, tablets and smartphones.

The cloud as backup
With the new laser printers, Brother provides the proof that cloud storage, cooperation via the internet and social medias are no longer reserved for personal files and photos only.

Many companies are beginning to organise online services where employees and customers can download and upload important documents via their laptops, tablets and mobiles.

The 5000 printer series from Brother comes with Web Connect, which is the most flexible method of online communication on the market.

Web Connect works with more popular cloud services than any other, and you can scan and copy to or print directly from the cloud.

Moreover, Web Connect can run an optical character recognition on a document before it is sent to the finial recipient. In this way, you can create searchable PDFs or editable Word, Excel and PowerPoint files from scanned paper originals.

The printers cover most needs
The new 5000 series consists of Brother’s so far most intelligent and stylish mono laser printers. With features and details to be found nowhere else.

All seven models are equipped with Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print 2.0. They have been certified to wireless printing via the Mopria standard. And they work perfectly together with Brother’s free iPrint&Scan app for smartphones and tablets.

Furthermore, all seven have a very low power consumption and low operating costs. The differences between the individual machines lie in optional expansion and the number of networks (wired and wireless) to which they can be connected.

The DCP-L5500DN all-in-one have printing, copying and scanning capabilities, whereas the MFC-L5700DN allows faxing in addition.
