Brother præsenterer to nye scannere med smarte detaljer

Brother’s new ADS-1200 scanner can be powered by a laptop via an USB cable and ADS-1700W has a large touchscreen with 20 handy shortcuts. The two compact scanners cost from DKK 1.999 ex VAT.

Even though we live in digital times, the classic printed paper is still indispensable. The paperless office that we talked about 10 years ago is still a long way from becoming a reality. We still work a lot with paper-based documents that we digitalize every day via document scanners placed on our desks.

Brother’s new ADS-1200 and ADS-1700W are among the more compact and practical of their kind. They only take up the space equivalent to a sheet of A4 paper, which makes them well suited for small working environments. They are also very efficient and user-friendly.

Both models can scan up to 25 pages 2-sided, so that you save a lot of time when scanning large printed volumes and moving them from the analogue into the digital world.

ADS-1200 can be mobile

Brother’s new ADS-1200 is not really a mobile document scanner but can work as a such. It can be powered from a normal power socket and directly from the laptop via USB. This means, for instance that an accountant or a sales representative can bring a laptop and a scanner ”on the road” without having to worry about finding an available power socket. Of course, this requires that the laptop battery has been charged.

Even though Brother ADS-1200 is very compact it does not lack in features and functions. It has everything you normally require – including a 20-page automatic document feeder, which helps when scanning 2-sided documents or contracts with multiple pages.

ADS-1700W for the busy user

Brother ADS-1700W is for those that use the office scanner often and for many different tasks.

ADS-1700W is equipped with a 7,1 cm. colour display on which you can add up to 20 short cuts to the scanning functions that are most frequently used. It could for instance be for regular recipients of scanned documents via the network or functions as scan directly to PDF, file, email, USB stick or FTP server. When using short cuts all you need to do is to press the touchscreen.

ADS-1700W comes with Brother’s brand new iPrint&Scan software for computers. The personal settings that you have in iPrint&Scan on your computer will be visible in the scanner’s colour display as soon as the two units are connected.

Finally, Brother ADS-1700W has wireless connectivity and increased security, so that f. instance certain functions are reserved for select users. Furthermore the scanner can be protected against being used from unauthorized persons.

Common features for both scanners

Both Brother ADS-1200 and ADS-1700W are fast for their size. They can scan up to 25 sheets per minute 2-sided. Using the automatic document feeder, it can handle 20 sheets per minute.

Both scanners have advanced features such as colour correction, retouch of punch holes and improvement of illegible text and numbers.

The scanners do also handle other media, that needs to be scanned. Via a special port you can scan items such as ID cards, drives licenses and credit cards.

They come with Nuance Power PDF software, that makes it easier to create PDF files, edit and share them or convert them to PDF from other formats.

The two new scanners are available at Brother’s many Danish dealers.

ADS-1200 costs DKK 1.999 ex VAT or DKK 2.498 incl. VAT.

ADS-1700W costs DKK 2.399 ex VAT and DKK 2.999 incl. VAT.
