Brother wins coveted awards

Brother’s new laser range has won the prestigious Line of the Year Award from Buyers Laboratory (BLI) and the revolutionary new QL-800 label printer series from Brother has been recognised with the Innovation of the Year Accolade at the European Office Products Awards (EOPA).

Buyers Laboratory (BLI) – Line of the Year Award

This year’s Line of the Year Award from Buyers Laboratory (BLI) covers a whole family of mono laser printers and all-in-ones. It comprises a total of 16 models, 10 of which have undergone individual tests in order to pass the exam as Highly Recommended and receive a certificate of high reliability.

The laser range was launched 2016, and it was the first to be targeted the needs of large companies. The printers can easily handle 10,000 pages per month and up to 50 pages per minute.

It's hard to win a Pick Award at the British Buyers Laboratory, because the products must undergo a month-long test phase. Here they are subjected to intensive tests and strains, and only the most robust and reliable products will pass. Therefore, it is a special achievement to receive this award for an entire series, as a large number of machines must excel in the tough tests.

A Pick Award is one of the most difficult awards to achieve in this business, and Brother has received several Pick Awards in 2017, among those are the HL-L6300DW mono printer for medium-sized work groups, and the MFC-L2700DW and MFC-L2740DW mono all-in-one printers that are targeting small businesses.

European Office Products Awards (EOPA) – Innovation of the Year

Brother’s revolutionary label printers, the QL-800 series, have received the prestigious Innovation of the Year Award at this year’s European Office Products Awards (EOPA). The label printer series was recently launched on the Danish market and is the world’s first in this segment to print in two colours – black and red*.

The innovative QL-800 series has three outstanding benefits: Two-colour printing in black and red*, the flexibility to print on continuous length tape in the required size (up to one metre), and the freedom that comes with wireless connectivity allowing users to create and print labels directly from their mobile devices**.

Furthermore, Brother was highly ranked for its “It’s less work with wireless” campaign in EOPA’s Marketing Initiative category, for the label printers in the QL and P-touch families

EOPA has awarded its prestigious prizes for 16 years, and the jury had to select the winners from 200 nominated products and campaigns.

The awards bring joy to Brother’s European offices these days. And Henning Elkjaer, Nordic Marketing Director & Sales Director (Denmark) at Brother Nordic A/S, sees them as a large pat on the back.

“We listen carefully to our customers and try to accommodate their needs. We strive to be as close as possible to the people who use our products, and the awards received is an indication that we have hit the spot.”
