Five Brother products receive international iF Design Award

For the ninth year in a row, Brother is among the electronics manufacturers awarded by the International Forum Design in Germany. This takes place in competition with 5,290 other candidates from 53 countries.

Printers and labelling machines may seem as something quite ordinary that most people do not think about. They should just work and be available when you need them.

However, before these devices reach the users’ offices, the manufacturer, Brother, has conceived many thoughts.

Brother printers and labelling machines are designed not only to be good-looking. They are also reliable, eco-friendly and prepared for recycling. In addition, they come with an attractive price and good service
All these criteria are accounted for when the critical judges in the grand International Forum Design competition each year select the products of many different categories, which they consider the best on the market.

The competition is based in Hannover, Germany, and this year the jury had to evaluate 5,295 products from 53 different countries.

Five of the selected products come from Brother, thus having collected 55 IF Design wards over the years.

Three of the five award winners from Brother are being sold on the Danish market:

• Brother PT-D600 labelling machine
• Brother PT-D210 labelling machine
• Brother PT-D400/450 labelling machine

Nordic Marketing Manager Henning Elkjaer from Brother Nordic A/S is pleased that this year the design judges paid special attention to Brothers labelling machines.

”Most people have probably learned about us in connection with the large printers, all-in-ones and scanners in the many Danish offices and thousands of Danish homes,” says Henning Elkjaer.

”The fact that three of our labelling machines now get an international iF Design Award emphasises Brother’s strong position in this niche market. Brother is among the largest manufacturers within labelling print – even in Denmark,” Henning Elkjaer continues.

Besides, this is the ninth year in a row that Brother received one or more IF Design Awards for its innovative products

The first time Brother won an iF Design Award was way back in 1982. Back then, it was for an alphanumeric typewriter.

iF Design Awards have been granted since 1953, and today they are considered to be one of the most prestigious in the world.
