Brother makes it more than 70* percent cheaper to print

If there is something that annoys printer users, it is the price of new ink cartridges.

Today cartridges represent the largest share of operating costs for a modern printer – no matter if a family uses it, at home, or for business purposes, at an office.

Now Brother is addressing that issue – the ink cost, that is.

Brother’s first member of the new ”Inkbenefit family” of multifunction printers – DCP-J785DW – provides up to 74* percent savings compared to regular printers today.

The price per printed page can be as low as DKK 0.80** in black and white and DKK 0.55 in color**.

This is placing Brother DCP-J785DW as one of the most cost effective multifunction printers on the market.

The new inkjet-based printer from Brother will be priced at DKK 1.359 ex. VAT or DKK 1.699 incl. VAT.

A price that makes DCP-J785DW the obvious choice for small companies with a high print volume and families that print many pages for school, exams or other educational purposes.

The secret is larger cartridges
DCP-J785DW is a refinement of the well-known Brother multifunction printers, but it uses larger cartridges than similar printers do.

The Inkbenefit cartridge contain more ink and can print up to 2.400 pages in black and white or 1.200 pages in color before it is time to change it.

According to a Brother analysis, it will last approximately two years when used by a regular family, but the target group for DCP-J785DW is companies, that print a great deal more than that.

The same analysis, conducted among 509 home users, show, that today almost half of them print 200 pages per month.

The black cartridge costs DKK 187 ex. VAT (DKK 234 incl. VAT), while yellow, cyan and magenta are priced at DKK 108.

”Our new Inkbenefit printers are directed at the very cost conscious with a high print volume. Significant savings can only be obtained if you have a high print volume. If your print demand is minor, then it is more cost effective for you to buy one of the other Brother multifunction machines. Compact and cost effective
Brother’s new DCP-J785DW is a compact multifunction machine that can print, scan and copy in color.

Print speed is 12 ipm per minute in black and white and 10 ipm in colour. Accommodate photo print with borderless printing, and print on both sides (duplex) to reduce cost even more.

This new product has Wi-Fi, ingenious Brother apps for scan and copy – and you can scan to – and print directly from - smartphones and tablets as well as Cloud services like Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive® or Google Drive™.

DCP-J785DW is ready at Brother’s many dealers from July 2016. The price is DKK 1.359 kr. ex. VAT. or DKK 1.699 incl. VAT. Ink cartridges cost DKK 187 ex. VAT. (DKK 234 incl. VAT.) for black and DKK 108 ex. VAT. (DKK 135 incl. VAT.) for the three other colors (yellow, cyan and magenta).
