Brother intends to capture mid-sized customers with new series of mono laser printers

Four new printers and three all-in-ones featuring large paper capacity and speeds up to 50 pages per minute. The new Brother printers offer low operating costs and top security.

Brother moves up to next level with its new family of laser printers, which so far is the company’s fastest and most flexible in terms of paper capacity.

Normally, Brother is best known for its printers and all-in-one machines for small business and home offices, and the brand is among the most popular on the Danish market

With the new 6000 series of mono laser printers, Brother aims one step higher – namely at medium-sized and large professional companies with printing needs of up to 10,0000 pages per month.

Customers in this category are typically interested in print speed, large paper capacity, low running costs and increasingly print security.

Fastest from Brother
Brother never does anything halfway. Therefore, the new printer family for professional users has not only been upgraded with a faster print engine and put in a larger cabinet.

The 6000 series has been newly designed from one end to the other according to the typical demands and requirements from medium-sized printer users.

The new mono laser printers are the fastest from Brother so far. They are the most reliable and durable. They are among the most economical on the market and have a very low price per printed page. And they have the largest paper capacity and highest output ever in a Brother printer.

The printers and all-in-ones have a print speed of either 46 or 50 pages per minute – and the first print is ready after only seven seconds.

Some of the new Brother models in the series can use ultra-high yield toners up to 20,000 pages. Combined with a modest power consumption, this place the new Brother models among the printers that have the lowest running costs on the market.

The technology in Brother’s heavy laser printers is completely up-to-date. The machines are equipped with e.g. Near Field Communication (NFC) enabling wireless print from a smartphone by simply holding it close to the printer.

The new Brother printers come in versions for both wired and wireless network. They can be placed centrally in a company or in the individual departments – as required.

Also for large paper consumers
The new mono laser printers are the first Brother models to introduce a standard paper tray for 520 sheets. Maximum capacity is 2.650 sheets

At the same time, the printer is customisable to the users’ needs. They can easily be expanded with additional paper trays, different stacking systems, mailboxes with stacking or input with different types of paper.

”Flexibility is a requirement from professional mid-range users. Therefore, our new laser printers and all-in-ones can be scaled completely as required. Moreover, they offer a high level of security: Confidential information on printouts can be protected even though many people use the same printer,” explains Nordic Marketing Manager Henning Elkjaer from Brother Nordic A/S.

The new printers can work with Brother’s software solutions, such as PrintSmart Cost Control. This gives, for instance, a full overview of the organisation’s print usage allowing costs to be assessed and distributed.

Furthermore, PrintSmart Secure Pro allows IT personnel to improve safety through features as pull print and secure print. At the same time, mobile print and improved scan capacity increase the value for all SMB customers. Brother’s PrintSmart Secure Pro provides access for both employees and visitors to print from their own laptop, tablet or smartphone. An important detail for companies that allow ”Bring Your Own Device” applications.

Brother’s new mono laser models also come with Brother’s Solution Interface, which makes it possible to customise special printer solutions for a company or to integrate Brother machines with existing system.

The individual machines in short
Brother’s smallest new model is the HL-L6300DW. This mono laser printer prints up to 46 pages per minute and is suitable for companies with 10 to 150 users. It has 520 sheets paper capacity as standard and it is possible to expand with three trays of 250 sheets each or with two trays of 520 sheets each. The printer has both USB, Wi-Fi and Gigabit network card.

The HL-L6300DWT has almost the same specifications, but it offers two 520 sheets paper trays as standard.

Brother HL-L6400DW prints 50 pages per minute and is ideal for both companies with 50 to 150 users or large organisations with more than 150 users. The printers can use toners for 20,000 pages. The paper capacity is 520 sheets as standard but can be expanded to more than twice as much.

The HL-L6400DWT has almost the same specifications, but it offers two 520 sheets paper trays as standard.

Brother DCP-L6600DW is an all-in-one printer allows for printing and copying in mono and scanning in colours. The speed is 46 pages per minute and the standard paper capacity is 520 sheets. It is operated via a large 12,3 cm touchscreen. It has an 80 sheets automatic document feeder and allows for additional paper trays. The DCP-L6600DW will typically be found in companies with 10 to 150 printer users.

The MFC-L6800DW has almost the same specifications as the DCP-L6600DW, but also includes telefax.

The MFC-L6800DWT has almost the same specifications, but it offers two 520 sheets paper trays as standard.

Finally, the all-in-one Brother MFC-L6900DW provides up to 50 pages print speed and 50 pages scan speed per minute. Also, it can use Brother’s ultra-high yield toners for 20,000 pages.
