Get PCL6 with the new Brother inkjets

Several of Brother’s laser printers offer PCL 6, but as something brand new, the new Brother Business Smart inkjet printers have also got PCL6. This means that they can be integrated into large systems, such as accounting programs, Unix, Linux and DOS. On Brother’s devices, PCL6 is backward compatible, i.e. it can work with programs that support the older PCL versions, such as PCL4 and PCL5, which can be a great advantage. In addition, it offers shorter transfer speeds and faster print of complex graphics, which increases the efficiency of printers with PCL6.

PCL stands for Printer Command Language and is a page description language originally developed for inkjet printers back in 1984. Over the years, PCL has been marketed in various new versions, and recently in version 6 – the PCL6.

Brother inkjet printers with PCL6: MFC-J5930DW and MFC-J6935DW.
